The Block9 journey
A Small Team. Fifteen Years in Technology. Bitcoin Since 2017.
Today we are a small but focused team helping individuals and businesses. Our technology journey started 15 years ago in Web 2.0. We have worked with some of the nation's largest corporations — dedicated hardware, personal computers, virtualization, cloud, and most recently artificial intelligence. That work did not go away: we still design and build traditional apps, websites, and web2 solutions, and we bring Bitcoin and Stacks in when they actually help.
In the background, blockchain kept growing. Beginning in 2017, in our personal time, we started keeping tabs on it. Each year, more. It could never be shaken off as a fad. Decentralization — once a concept, now infrastructure — is a game-changer. It will transform industries, organizations, and governments.

New chains and projects can appear and vanish in a night, a week, or a month. If you haven't spent time in the ecosystem, the noise wins. If you haven't watched technology evolve, it's hard to tell who's cosplaying as innovation — knowingly or not. Sometimes it's just a lukewarm version of the real thing.
Through our lens — business operations plus blockchain — it was clear people, organizations, businesses, and governments are going to need someone. Someone they can trust. Someone who understands how businesses actually work. Someone who can look at their goals and align them to capabilities in this stack.

After much contemplating, the decision was made to take a leap of faith and create Block9 in July 2024.

We want to understand your business pains and goals. We want to help you see through the noise and align products, services, and operations to Bitcoin and/or Stacks — or build the ordinary software the job actually needs. Every engagement — small or large — is aimed at your success.
In many cases there is no centralized entity that can course-correct a mistake. Best practices and a strategy matter. More tools will come to lessen user error. In the present, a trusted resource is how you dodge malicious users, bad applications, and expensive mistakes — and how you find the opportunities that will surface in the markets you serve.
It is our goal to earn that title as your trusted resource, and to partner with you as the new pioneers in your industry.
