Scope. This Privacy Policy applies solely to www.block9.app and the consulting, education, workshop, merchandise, and affiliate services offered by Block9 LLC. It does not apply to Agents by Block9 at agents.vb9.app, which has its own privacy policy. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to personal information.
Personal information we collect or process
- Contact details — name, address, phone, email.
- Financial information — payment and transaction details. Full payment-card and bank-account numbers are handled by processors and are not stored by Block9.
- Communications — what you send in a contact form, email, or support request.
- Public comments — the name and text you submit on a blog post. These are stored and shown on that page for anyone to read.
- Voice and AI chat data — audio when you choose to speak with AgentB9, transcripts, and information you volunteer. See AI Assistant below.
- Professional information — job title and company when you engage us on behalf of an employer.
- Device and usage information — IP address, browser, and how you use the Site, which may be collected through cookies or similar technologies.
Blockchain transaction data. When you make a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency payment to Block9, the transaction is recorded on a public blockchain. Block9 does not associate your wallet address with your personal information except as needed to confirm a specific invoice. We cannot remove on-chain data. See the Blockchain & Cryptocurrency Privacy Addendum.
Sources
Directly from you; automatically through the Site; from service providers who process information on our behalf; and from partners or other third parties.
How we use it
To provide and improve the Services; process payments and fulfill orders; communicate with you; detect fraud and secure the Site; comply with law; and, where permitted, marketing and advertising.
How we disclose it
With vendors who perform services on our behalf — hosting, payment processing, IT, fulfillment, analytics, and artificial-intelligence providers. xAI Corp. processes voice and text conversations with our AI assistant. With business and marketing partners for advertising, where applicable. When you direct us to. Within our corporate group. In connection with a business transaction, legal process, or to protect rights and safety.
Cookies and similar technologies
On your first visit we show a cookie banner. Necessary cookies always run: they keep the Site working, secure hosting, and remember your cookie choice. Optional technologies — Google Fonts, measurement, and advertising identifiers — run only if you choose Accept All. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, optional sharing stays off. You can switch to Necessary Only at any time via Cookie Preferences in the footer or the Your Privacy Choices page. System fonts are used unless you accept optional cookies.
- Necessary — consent record, security and hosting logs, and features you ask for (for example, a booking or a comment).
- Optional — Google Fonts, measurement, and advertising identifiers, only with Accept All.
- AgentB9 — a separate consent when you tap the assistant. Microphone audio is sent to xAI Corp.
AI assistant and voice chat
AgentB9 lets you speak or chat with an artificial intelligence agent about Block9. It is an AI, not a human, and identifies itself as such. The website assistant activates only when you start a conversation and grant microphone permission. We do not use your camera. The assistant does not listen passively. The same assistant answers our published agent phone number on a recorded line and discloses AI status and recording at the start of each call. If you prefer not to be recorded, end the call and email sales@block9.app or support@block9.app. Do not share government identifiers, financial credentials, health information, or wallet seed phrases with the assistant — it does not need them.
When you speak with AgentB9, your voice audio is transmitted to xAI Corp., where it is processed to generate spoken responses and a transcript. Block9 may review transcripts to provide follow-up you request and for quality and safety. Voice audio is not used to create a voiceprint or biometric identifier. Per xAI's API data practices as of the Last Updated date, xAI retains API conversation data for a limited period for trust-and-safety monitoring and does not use it to train its models.
Retention
- Account, transaction, and billing records — duration of the relationship, then up to seven (7) years for tax and legal requirements.
- Support and general correspondence — up to three (3) years from last contact.
- Marketing-list data — until you unsubscribe, then up to twelve (12) months to honor the opt-out.
- Website analytics data — up to twenty-six (26) months.
- AI assistant audio, transcripts, and call recordings — up to twelve (12) months, unless retained longer for an active matter.
- Public blog comments — until we remove them as spam, abuse, or at your request where required by law.
- Cryptocurrency invoice records — up to seven (7) years.
Sale, sharing, and opt-out
Block9 does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We may engage in "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising if the Site uses third-party advertising or analytics tools. You may opt out on the Your Privacy Choices page, by enabling Global Privacy Control, or by emailing privacy@block9.app with the subject line "Opt Out." We honor opt-out requests from everyone, regardless of where you live. Other than GPC, we do not recognize browser "Do Not Track" signals.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know/access, delete, correct, portability, opt out of sale or sharing, and non-discrimination. Email privacy@block9.app or use our contact form noting "Privacy request." We confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days, with one 45-day extension where reasonably necessary. We will verify your identity. Authorized agents need written authorization. California residents should also read the California Notice.
Children
The Services are intended for users 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share personal information of individuals under 16.
International
Block9 LLC is based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Communications
We may send promotional emails; you may opt out using the unsubscribe link. We may still send non-promotional messages about bookings or orders. If you give us a phone number, you may receive transactional messages related to those bookings or orders. Block9 does not send promotional SMS without separate, express consent. Reply STOP to opt out of transactional SMS. Standard rates may apply.
Data security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit, and vendor due diligence. No security measure is perfect. Never share your seed phrase, private keys, or wallet recovery materials with anyone, including Block9. In a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulators as required by law.
Third-party websites
The Site may link to websites we do not control, including affiliate partners. Their privacy and security practices are their own. Information you post on public or semi-public venues — including blog comments and social platforms — may be viewable by others without limitation as to its use. Do not put email, phone, wallet addresses, or seed phrases in a comment.
Complaints and appeals
If we decline a request, email privacy@block9.app with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” We respond to appeals within forty-five (45) days. You may also contact your state attorney general or local data protection authority.
