This Addendum supplements the Privacy Policy for blockchain technologies and peer-to-peer cryptocurrency payments. Agents by Block9 at agents.vb9.app has its own notices. On blockchain-specific topics, this Addendum controls; otherwise the Privacy Policy controls.
Block9's role
We do not custody, hold, transmit, or have access to client funds, keys, or seed phrases. We do not act as a money transmitter, exchange, broker-dealer, or custodian. Clients execute all on-chain transactions themselves. Our involvement is limited to providing a Block9-controlled wallet address for a Block9 invoice, recording the transaction identifier for accounting, and educating or configuring clients to act on their own wallets.
Cryptocurrency payment data
We may associate with an invoice: the receiving address we provided, the transaction hash, amount and confirmation time, and the USD-equivalent at receipt. We do not perform on-chain analytics or address clustering on client wallets. Invoice records are retained up to seven (7) years. That has no effect on the underlying blockchain data, which is permanent.
Public blockchain data
Transactions on public chains such as Bitcoin and Stacks are open, immutable, and outside Block9's control. No party — not Block9, not a wallet provider, not any government — can remove them. The CCPA right to delete reaches records we keep, not the chain.
Third-party apps
When you use a wallet, explorer, or protocol we recommend, you interact with that provider and often with a public chain under their policy. We may receive limited referral information from an affiliate click. We do not receive ongoing data about your activity inside those apps.
Your responsibilities
- Secure seed phrases and keys. Block9 will never ask for these.
- Verify any invoice address through a separate channel before sending funds.
- Read third-party privacy policies before using their apps.
- Understand that confirmed on-chain transactions cannot be reversed by Block9 or anyone else.
