Energy Preserved, Energy Secured
The energy spent to produce one bitcoin is not an afterthought. It is what makes the asset scarce, immutable, and recorded as truth in a block — and that combination is a form of power.

Original wordingConsider the energy expended to cryptographically produce one bitcoin. Now consider a future in which bitcoin is highly sought after because those properties — immutability, scarcity, and truth recorded in a block — present unmatched value to the people who use it.
Bitcoin will represent much more than monetary value. It is cyber-power. Economies and infrastructure would be secured by hash-power.
It cannot be debased or copied.
Systems and services written so they only operate when they receive sats will not function without them.
Scaling on Lightning, and layered solutions such as Stacks, further compound the case for adoption and for utility across a wide range of uses.
Nations and individuals who hold a large amount will be able to create shocks in global commerce — for better or for worse. And it cannot simply be marched on and taken by force. It can be secured by memory, by multi-signature arrangements, and by keys that are not sitting in one physical place.
We are early. The value is being realized quickly.
